You may have tried a lot of shaving creams and the funky ones that you get in the barber shop. There are a lot of good smelling creams that claim that you will have a good shave. These are creams that you come across and trust me they don't work. I know that the reason you are here is because the cream your grandfather suggested or your father suggested is not working for you and is causing a lot of irritation. Believe me, the old solutions is not always the best solution and the newest solution is also not the ideal solution. The point that the older generation people fail to realize is that, like the technology of the digital world keeps improving so is the technology of the shaving blades and the creams.

I used to go to the country side a lot and what I realized using the Old Spice is that the shave will be comfortable only if you are using hot water or warm water or you have just bathed in hot water. If you use cold water and shave or you have not washed your face befor you shave it will not be a pleasent experience. The reason is that your face skin swells and makes the roots of the hairs come out easily. If you have not washed your face oil and dust will blunt the blades and you know what happens..Try applying aftershave after that...good luck.

If you live in country side and you don't have access to soft water the gel will work. And there is a good chance that you will not have an access to it. And every shaving person knows that hard water is the enemy of good shave and the blades. Your blades will be blunt so quickly, that the next time you shave the blades will be showing signs of rust.

The best thing about the Gillette Gel is that the hard water does not seem to affect the gel. The only thing that you need to take care it that you will have to apply a little extra and use lots of water. But the shave will be as good as done with soft water. The blades if you cover it with some of the gel after the use and let it dry on it. The next time you shave the sharpness of the blades will be there. But make sure these blades are costly ones, if you are using the use-and-throw ones then what ever you do the effect will be the same.

The gel will get washed off very easily even in this water and you don't have to worry about the gel sticking to the skin.

This an incident that happened with me, I ower twisted the Gillette Gel cap and it came right off into my hand. I then thought that the entire gel will spoil and I may have to throw it away. But the Gel did not spoil even after the cap was not in place. The Gel did get a little thick but don't worry. Over all the Gel will get your moneys worth.
