This assignment culture in the engineering colleges that has been since I can remember. Is completely useless and is waste of time. Can anyone explain what is the use of all this and how does it help in making a good engineer. The people who graduate from engineering colleges are mostly considered as people who are not fit for the industries. And you expect the students to study but at the same time give all these assignments. This is just ridiculous.
#Reason 1: Is it needed at all??
Yes. The question is right. Is it needed at all? There is nothing in copying the same material from the book and it does not even help in clearing the exams. If it ever helped in examinations then I was all for it but it doesn't. The people who want this assignments in the colleges are the people who just want to harass the students during the submissions. There are people I know off who also argue that the assignments also help you study and gain knowledge. How it don't know. If that was the case then all the students should be good at studies. But are they? I know a lot of students who write assignments just like me and are failing in the exams and are dropping years due to this. Do you guys who are in the engineering colleges think that this is bullshit. If yes then put a Hell yeah in the comments below.
How dumb do the colleges think the student are? Are we so stupid that we need to be given assignments to make us study. Then there is the dreaded theory of the teachers that many of the students are not like you and don't study so we need to give them assignments. Hey dude I study and I know that I have to because if I did not then you will give me job. Forget about jobs I want to gain knowledge.
#Reason 2:It is a time waster. Yeah it is.....
I know and you know that this assignment thing is just waste of valuable time. First of all the semester based system is so tense that the time even to breathe is less. The teachers are just having fun. This valuable time if used in constructive study will yield a greater results than the assignment bullshit. Anyone reading this thing give me a hell yeah in the comments if you think that this is just bullshit. I am sorry folks for the foul language but these things gets on my nerves.
I also don't understand when the people or teachers say that you had ample time at home. I don't know whether they live in a fantasy land or something. There is no time for all this shit and also for this assignment bullshit. If you have ever written assignments on your own you will know that this takes a lot of time, maybe even a day or so. But if you copy you may save a few moments. But it doesn't make a lot of difference. So if the entire day is spent in writing this stupid assignmets then how are the students going to prepare for the main exams. I actually don't know.
If you are in one of those colleges where they conduct study camps, God bless your soul. No, I seriously mean it. I know how you feel.
#Reason 3: I should be abolished completely.
If you think that this is just a bullshit thing going on in the engineering colleges then give me a "hell Yeah" in the comments below. It would mean a lot to me. And if possible send this article to all the people who need support. Anyway, to our point, Do you think that it should be abolished? I think yes befor a second thought. I never benifitted from this activity at all in the last 2 years I have spent in the engineering colleges. I think that the people give me such looks when I say that "I am an engineer". I don't know why this type of demented shit should be there in engineering colleges only.
I don't think that the people who are doing law, medicine, or any other professional course are writing these bullshit assignments at all. I have never seen one of my medical friends complain about this type of demented shit.
